Healthcare providers are interacting with greater numbers of transgender individuals, both as patients and as coworkers. This program is designed to increase awareness for healthcare providers regarding concepts and terminology related to sex and gender, along with terms to avoid. We will also discuss risks faced by the transgender population, skills for assessing and treating transgender patients, and tools for interacting with transgender coworkers.
The program is intended for healthcare providers at all levels, including nurses, physicians, EMTs and paramedics, and other professionals. It has embedded compliance questions to ensure knowledge retention and program completion, and takes approximately one hour to complete. The program is approved for New Jersey BLS CEUs.
This program provided as a one-time license purchase per licensed healthcare entity, and requires a SCORM-compliant learning management system for delivery. For non-credit card purchases, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
